Part One: What are the key elements which will make your space to stand out? What professional profile is decisive to achieve a sensational real estate product?

The key elements are seven:

  • A proper lighting: the expert has to combine natural light (if there is any) with artificial light.
  • The colors chosen to paint: them must be in accordance with lighting
  • The method of compartmentalization
  • The choice of the objects shown: once we have acquired the real estate product the personal seal must be noticed
  • The smells: it is important to avoid the most invasive ones
  • The musical line
  • To bet for the best possible accessibility for people with functional diversity

Designing an attractive space is the job of interior designers. Do you want to know more about this job profile? In this 2019 link Pep Feliu will satisfy your curiosity.

Part two: The art of erase useless objects

2.1 Disorder is overlapping, order liberating

The two pictures at the top of the article show an office, but they could not be more opposite. In the first one, the man who appears there holds with difficulty a very large piece of food while he looks at it, looking at the dimonis to put it in its place. On the other hand, in the second photo, although there are many objects, thanks to a curious arrangement, there is a lot of space and, not least, it is nice to get in there.

2.2 What characteristics turn an object acquired for a purpose into a annoying one?

Basically, there are four aspects to decide which things are dispensable:

a) That it is something bought in excess

b) That it is not impeccable or out of date

c) Gifts that we dislike

d) Products that become obsolete

2.3 Main objects to be eliminated from our real estate product

      1. Household stealing that does not transmit neatness: towels, complete sets on the bed, towels and blankets have to enter through the sight.
      2. Theft of surplus clothing: this is the clearest example of characteristic a. Thus, in Spain on average 34 pieces of clothing are bought every year. The half-sleeves, faded gloves, tights, worn out, faded, faded or torn pajamas are other targets.

     3.      Bathroom clothes that don't fit you well: a pair of glasses that are too small, a braided bathing suit or a cap that is too big.

    4.       Child's clothes when he/she has grown up.

    5.        Painful women shoes: that aesthetics does not cause pain is a principle of health.

    6.         Disappeared braces

    7.         Stinging wool scarves

    8.         Scratches and paintings in bad condition: the hair is delicate, it is necessary to take care of it.

    9.        Creams started

   10.     Worn out sponges: they can't have any clogs or bad smell. They must be changed at least once a month.

    11.     Frayen kitchen rags

    12.      Tapers, pots or containers without lids or broken and expired spices: watch their evolution to avoid surprises.

    13.      Expired medicines: this is the example par excellence of the characteristic b. In this state the drugs can be useless or harmful.  Check this link what the perfect pharmacy should contain

    14.    Old purchase tickets: keep them for a maximum of two months.

    15.   Textbooks from outdated educational stages or unreadable literature: in this link you can find out how to organize a library.

    16.   Gifts that are not to our liking: this is the example that fits with item c. Let's be honest, there are many times that we don't get it right.

    17.   Chargers of old or old electronic devices: the electronic devices illustrate the characteristic d. Above all, it is important to recycle the old ones before buying them on the last Monday of November when there are discounts (cybermonday).

    18.    Pens that don't fit, dry pens or calculators that don't work: Imagine they visit you at the office and can't sign an important contract the first time!

   19.    Other personal hygiene items that need to be replaced periodically: shampoos, make-up, perfume samples, shaving soap, used condoms, etc.

We beg you not to fall into the temptation of using the storage room of the owners' community to hide untidy objects by piling up boxes that you will end up forgetting.

3. Epilogue: How to deal with the existence of a person with Diogenes syndrome in the Community of Owners?

We cannot finish an article linked with order without referring to its antithesis: the Diogenes syndrome.

Right now we give you the three steps to solve, in the community of owners, the inconveniences caused by this mental disorder:

a) Addressing the person affected by this disease to facilitate the inspection and disinfection of the apartment: neither dehumanizing nor threatening are never acceptable options. All people have human rights. This step may be useless because the affected person is not aware of being suffering from any disease and does not always have family members.

b) Send a letter to the health department of the municipality where the dwelling is located: in case there is no positive response, a letter must be drawn up stating the consequences of the problem.

c) The City Council has to address the situation from the health and social points of view: according to Law 18/2009 on Public Health, psychiatric help has to be provided to the person suffering. In parallel, the Public Administration has to urge the owner of the apartment -or his relatives- to allow the inspection and disinfection of the real estate product.

We hope we have helped you to get rid of the mess in your life and that the epilogue, in case you need it, will be informative.
